55ft narrowboat with Ruston and Hornsby engine

 

Ruston and Hornsby very famously made steam engines and evolved into making very traditional and beautiful diesels. There is no doubt that when you own this boat, you are a custodian of history, of the heritage of the waterways. It’s clear that previous owners have felt that responsibility as the engine is in lovely working condition. 

 

We surveyed the boat and have carried out recommendations so she’s ready to go. There’s no doubt that you could turn her into either a comfortable and interesting floating home, or you may wish to restore her as a curiosity; as a living, floating, moving museum piece. 

 

There is no current BSS certificate or survey and there is no mooring offered with this boat although hard-standing may be available subject to availability.
